The Towson Tigers completed its most successful season in six years in 2024, and now hope to have another historical run in 2025. The Tigers finished at 7-5 overall and 5-2 in conference play, their best finish since 2019, led by quarterback Sean Brown.

With alumni that include Walter Payton Award winners Joe Flacco and John Robertson, and such noteworthy recent stars as Reese Poffenbarger, Max Brosmer, and Hajj-Malik Williams, Coastal Athletic Association football has a long-running standard of excellent quarterback play.

The Towson Tigers have been steadily making their way up in the CAA conference, having their most successful season in 2024 since 2019.

NFL rosters across the league feature former Coastal Athletic Association stars: From Colby Sorsdal in Detroit, Kobie Turner and Jared Verse teaming on the defensive line in Los Angeles, Dylan Laube in Las Vegas, there's no shortage of CAA representation in the pros.

The Coastal Athletic Association season is slowly coming to a close with Rhode Island and Richmond atop the standings, undefeated in conference play. Just behind the pair are the one loss teams,  Stony Brook, Delaware, and Villanova.

There are three weeks left in the regular season, and we are starting to get an idea of which teams will make it to the playoffs. Others will need every last minute left in the season to have a chance to make the postseason.

Four undefeated teams in conference play: Delaware, Richmond, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire clash in Week 3 of CAA conference play as only two can come out on top. No. 19 New Hampshire hosts No. 17 Rhode Island in the top 25 CAA matchup of the day. Then 6-0 Delaware goes on the road for a huge test against No. 15 Richmond, hunting for a win that would have them breaking the Top 25.

Delaware, Richmond, Villanova, Rhode Island, and UNH all remain undefeated in conference play through the first two weeks of CAA football play in 2024. Four of them: Villanova, Richmond, Rhode Island, and UNH all sit in the top 25 of the rankings, with Villanova comfortably dominating as No. 5.

William and Mary absolutely rolled Hampton last week 49-7 and sit at 4-1 and No. 10 overall in the AFCA poll. They are a talented team on both sides of the ball led by a steady offense and a suffocating defense.

Week 3 in the Coastal Athletic Association delivered thrilling finishes and record-setting performances, like Seth Morgan's six passing touchdowns for New Hampshire and Monmouth's Derek Robertson going for 390 yards against his former team.

Week 3 of the college football season includes several big matchup across the FCS, Division II and Division III levels.

It still may be too early in the 2024 college football season to truly gauge where teams stand, and it would be equally unfair to let what happened for each team last year carry too much weight.

The first in-season college football polls have been released, and both the AFCA Coaches Poll and Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Rankings show some early shifts and trends in the FCS landscape.
