The first weekend of pure chaos in the D2 football season has come and gone, leaving teams and fans reeling in it's wake.

Another week of NCAA football and we head back into the GLIAC for a recap of Week 1 excitement and a look at what’s to come in Week 2.

Headlining this week's FloCollege D2 Football Team Of The Week is Jeffrey Jones, who did more than impress in his second game for New Mexico Highlands, he broke the all-time D2 football freshman rushing record. Jones accumulated 385 rushing yards on 24 attempts and scored 4 touchdowns.

Ferris State retains the top spot in this week's FloCollege D2 Top 25 Rankings. The Bulldogs crushed Lake Erie over the weekend, despite giving up the first six points of the game. FSU went on a 63-point run to end the game.

In a NCAA D2 matchup, the No.12-ranked Indianapolis Greyhounds head to Findlay, Ohio to take on the Findlay Oilers on Saturday, Sept. 6.

There were a few big-ticket winners in Week 0 of the 2025-26 D2 Football campaign, and a few underachievers.
