In his first two games, Jones has totaled 608 rushing yards, and he's nearly 30 percent of the way to 2,000 rushing yards (which we predicted would probably happen).

Elsewhere, Jack Strand continued his strong start, and GVSU quarterback Andrew Schuster and Black Hills quarterback Luke Duby had a gunslinging duel. Duby's primary target was TJ Chukwurah, who hauled in an incredible 12 receptions, 182 yards and 3 touchdowns. 

On the defensive side, Ashland's Michael Shimek had himself a day, notching 3.5 sacks, 5 total tackles and a blocked kick. Angelo State cornerback Demitrias Charles helped his team to a win with 2 interceptions and 6 total tackles.
