FloCollege D2 Football Team Of The Week - Week 0
FloCollege D2 Football Team Of The Week - Week 0
Week 0 of the D2 football season delivered, with breakout performances by Marcus Stokes and Jack Strand. Here's who made the FloCollege D2 team of the week.

Week 0 was supposed to be the D2 football season's hors d'oeuvre, but it delivered an eight-course meal, complete with a shot of espresso before sending us on our way.
There were some huge numbers getting thrown around this past weekend.

- Eight Bold Predictions For 2025 D2 Football Season
Marcus Stokes had a breakout game against Lenoir-Rhyne, throwing for 353 yards and scoring 6 total touchdowns.
Jack Strand also showed why he's one of the best quarterbacks in D2 as he notched 35 completions, 336 passing yards and 6 passing touchdowns.
But one of the best stories this week was that of Jeffrey Jones, a freshman running back at New Mexico Highlands, who ran for 274 rushing yards, averaging 11 yards per carry. He also scored 3 touchdowns.
Now, I don't know much about Jones besides that he's a freshman and he just rolled in Week 0 — but a note on his athlete bio page struck me.
The line in his bio says: "Why I Chose NMHU: I chose NMHU because this was the only school that took a chance on me."
That is why you should love Division 2 football.
Now, here's the 11 players on offense and defense/special teams that made statements this week (that's right I picked two punters).
