HSFA Top 10: IMG Academy Holds No. 6 Ahead Of Saturday's Game On FloCollege

The top 10 held firm, but there’s movement elsewhere in this week’s Top 25 of the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.

St. Thomas Aquinas (Florida) remains No. 1, followed by Buford (Georgia), Santa Margarita (California), Carrollton (Georgia) and Baylor (Tennessee). It’s the second consecutive week without a change among HSFA’s top 10 teams. Baylor strengthened its résumé with a 45-17 victory over Montgomery Bell Academy, improving to 6-0 with four wins against HSFA 300 opponents.

De La Salle (California) made one of the biggest moves inside the Top 25, climbing five spots to No. 16 after defeating Corona Centennial 35-32. North Shore (Texas), Brownsburg (Indiana), Don Bosco Prep (New Jersey) and Allen (Texas) each moved up two places to occupy Nos. 12-15. The rankings are produced by High School Football America using its proprietary algorithm.

This week, fans can watch No. 6 IMG Academy host No. 66 The St. James Performance Academy live on FloCollege on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m. ET.

Both teams enter unbeaten, with offenses that have piled up points. IMG is 5-0 and averaging 52.6 points per game, while Virginia’s St. James brings a 4-0 record, an offense averaging nearly 59 points and a defense that has allowed just 20 points all season.

For St. James, in only its second varsity season, Saturday offers a major opportunity to challenge one of the nation’s top programs. For IMG, it’s another chance to strengthen its position among the country’s elite.
