Ferris State and Harding stay steady, but Central Washington, UTPB, and Duluth headline the chaos in Week 7 of the 2025 FloCollege D2 rankings.

If, for the first time in your life, you watched D2 football this week, you might think it’s the Wild West out there.

The FloCollege Top 25 captures that chaos pretty well — and this week, there are plenty of examples. Let me count the ways.

Weird Things About This Week In D2 Football:

  • GVSU was tied with Northern Michigan 7-7 at halftime
  • UTPB losing to CWU at home, one week after defeating Angelo State in San Angelo
  • Angelo State turned around and lost again, this time to Texas A&M-Kingsville
  • Northern State, who lost to winless Bemidji last week, handed Duluth their first loss
  • West Alabama had a second bye week in a row

And then there’s Pennsylvania, where the universe folded in on itself:

  • California (PA) beat Slippery Rock in Week 4
  • Seton Hill beat California (PA) in Week 5
  • Slippery Rock beat Seton Hill in Week 6

It's like a D2 football Ourobouros in the PSAC -- a perfect circle of chaos. And California (PA)? They lost again this week -- to Edinboro. 

What stayed the same? Say it with me: Ferris State, Harding, Kutztown, West Florida, and Western Colorado.
