High School Football America 100

St. John Bosco Still No. 1, Top 20 Unchanged

St. John Bosco remains atop the High School Football America 100 national high school rankings, while the rest of the top 20 teams remained the same, too.

There are just eight more weeks until the crowning of the 2023 High School Football America national champion.

After 36 head-to-head matchups last week in the HSFA 300, powered by NFL Play Football, 10 new teams enter the national rankings created with our proprietary algorithm.

At the top of the rankings, St. Edward (Ohio) solidified its position at No. 16 with a 14-7 win over previously unbeaten Archbishop Hoban (Ohio). St. Ed’s begins its drive for a third straight Division I state championship when the state playoffs begin this weekend. Hoban drops from No. 22 in the latest rankings.

In Chicago, No. 67 Loyola edged No. 32 Mount Carmel 23-21, snapping the Caravan’s 22-game winning streak in a battle of reigning state champs. Loyola, the 2022 8A champion, rises to No. 39. MC drops eight spots to No. 40 this week.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee (Georgia) moves up 26 spots to No. 69 after taking down former No. 67 Providence Day (North Carolina) 42-27 to close-out a 10-0 regular season.

As far as the national championship chase, all eyes will be upon Texas this week, where No. 8 Duncanville will square off with No. 11 DeSoto for the District 11-6A championship.

Duncanville is the reigning 6A Division I champion. DeSoto won the 6A Division II state title last year.

In another big battle in the Lone Star State, No. 19 North Shore plays No. 33 Atascocita for the District 21-6A title.
