No. 4 Villanova survived a scare from Towson, 14-13, in Coastal Athletic Association play in Week 3 as the Wildcats avoided being another upset victim for Towson.

Derek Robertson had a huge day against his old school, throwing for nearly 400 yards and four touchdowns as the Monmouth Hawks downed the Maine Black Bears 51-22.

We've made it to week three, and a handful of teams are starting to stake their claim in the top 10.

A few top 25 matchups, close calls and upsets took place in Week 3 of the FCS season.

Richmond celebrated Family Weekend at Robins Stadium in Richmond, Virginia, with a much-needed win over Charleston Southern on Saturday, and the Spiders did it with a dominating performance on both sides of the ball.

Campbell and Rhode Island continue their 2024 season on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 6:00 p.m. ET at Meade Stadium in Kingston, RI. Both teams missed the Top 25 in the AFCA FCS Coaches Poll after Week 2 where the Fighting Camels earned one vote and the Rams earned two. The two teams enter the contest with one win and one loss.

As Coastal Athletic Association Football continues to grow, it’s not just dead weight the conference is throwing around the FCS landscape.

FCS rankings have been released for week 2 and both top 25 polls have considerable shakeups from the top down.

Week 2 of the 2024 FCS season featured a handful of top 25 matchups and some unexpected upsets as well.

Richmond Football fell to 0-2 on the season after losing its home opener to Wofford on Sept. 7. The team's offensive stats were very similar with Richmond actually having a slight edge in offensive yards (316-304). Additionally, Richmond was also more efficient on third down. The difference was absolutely the defense of the Terriers who forced four turnovers which accumulated for 16 points as opposed to none by the Spiders.

Richmond football hosts Wofford for a non-conference showdown on September 7. The game will be the Spiders home-opener after visiting Virginia last week for an FBS matchup, one that Richmond ultimately lost 34-14.

Home-field advantage was good to Coastal Athletic Association teams in Week 1 of the 2024 college football season. CAA members who opened on the road hope to keep the positive vibes of playing on campus going into Week 2.
