Week 7 delivered. The Anchor-Bone Classic gave us one of the best games of the 2026 season, Findlay pulled off a big win over Hillsdale, and Central Washington is so back.

But we're not done yet. Four weeks remain in the regular season, and there's still plenty of time for upsets, statement wins and conference races to get a whole lot more interesting.

From a top-15 GLIAC showdown to a battle for the top spot in the SCIAC, Week 8 has plenty worth tuning in for. Here's what I'll be watching.

Wayne State vs Davenport (D2, GLIAC)

I'm not watching this one for the competition - I'm watching it for Cephus Harris.

As I mentioned in my Week 8 predictions article (shameless self-promotion here), No. 9 Davenport hasn't had a season this great since 2023, when they got out to an 8-0 start before falling to the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the GLIAC: Ferris State and Grand Valley State.

However, the Panthers are having an arguably better season than they did in '23. Why is this? Well, there are a lot of factors, so I'll just emphasize one: Cephus. Harris.

The senior running back breaks or ties his own records every week. Last week, he tied his own record with four rushing touchdowns in a 59-21 win at Roosevelt. Harris currently averages 198.1 yards per game with 1,387 on the year and 18 touchdowns to lead NCAA Division II.

I could say so much more about Harris, but I'd rather let you find out what all the hype is about. Tune into FloCollege on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 12 p.m. ET to watch the nation's leading rusher yourself.

Michigan Tech vs Ferris State (D2, GLIAC)

I feel obligated to watch the No. 1 team in the nation every week, and you should, too.

Ferris State, the only team deserving of the No. 1 spot in NCAA D2 football, looks to extend its 37-game win streak with a home win versus No. 12 Michigan Tech this weekend.

This matchup has historically been one of the most entertaining in the GLIAC, with Ferris State leading the all-time series 36-34-4. The Bulldogs are currently on a 13-game win streak versus the Huskies, a streak that began after Tony Annese took over as FSU head coach. The past two matchups between the teams have been decided by rather sizeable margins of victory. Ferris State beat MTU 51-13 in Big Rapids in 2024 before handing the Huskies a 38-10 loss in Houghton, Mich., in 2025.

Is this the year Michigan Tech adds a win to the series? Find out at 1 p.m. ET as the Bulldogs host the Huskies in Big Rapids, Mich. - live on FloCollege.

Grand Valley State vs Saginaw Valley State (D2, GLIAC)

Okay, I promise, this is the last GLIAC game I'm watching. After all, who wouldn't want to watch the Battle of the Valleys?

Saginaw Valley State hosts No. 15 Grand Valley State Football for the 52nd Battle of the Valleys. GVSU leads the all-time series 39-12, but SVSU spoiled the Lakers' party last year with a 20-19 win at Lubbers Stadium.

Grand Valley State enters the game aiming to avoid a third consecutive loss, a skid the Lakers haven't suffered since 2014. Saginaw Valley State, on the other hand, looks to extend its one-game win streak following its first GLIAC victory at Wayne State, where it won 49-3.

Tune into this season's edition of the Battle of the Valleys on FloCollege on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 2 p.m. ET.

Hampden-Sydney vs Washington and Lee (D3, ODAC)

Hampden-Sydney is No. 1 in the ODAC, and Washington and Lee is tied for No. 2. This could get interesting.

Hampden-Sydney is on a five-game win streak and enters the game with a decisive 64-3 win over Guilford (0-3, 1-5) under its belt. Washington and Lee suffered a 22-21 loss to Bridgewater in Week 7, falling to the Eagles on a Hail Mary.

HSC's Terry Hicks leads the nation in rushing with 1,068 yards and seven touchdowns. W&L's Ryan Clemens ranks second in rushing in the ODAC with seven touchdowns on 603 yards. This is going to be a game decided by defense, and I can't wait to watch.

Tune into FloCollege on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 1 p.m. ET to watch the Generals take on the Tigers.

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps vs Chapman (D3, SCIAC)

If you're going to tune into one D3 game this week, it should be this one.

Chapman and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps are battling for the top spot in the SCIAC. Both are unbeaten in conference play; both are 5-1 overall.

Chapman started its season with a 44-24 loss at Hardin-Simmons Football. The Panthers walked into their final non-conference matchup with a chip on their shoulder. In a gritty game, Chapman took down Northwest Conference opponent Linfield 24-21 after falling to the Wildcats in 2025. Since then, they haven't stopped winning.

CMS also started its season with a win, beating University of Northwestern (MN) 19-14 in Claremont, Calif. In its NWC x SCIAC crossover, CMS fell to George Fox 42-25 despite scoring eight points in the fourth quarter. The Stags have won four straight games, with the most recent being a 39-0 shutout over Whittier at home.

The Panthers host the Stags at 7 p.m. PT on Saturday, Oct. 24, live on FloCollege. You're not going to want to miss this one.
