The Towson Tigershave had a tough start to the season, losing their first six. Still, nothing would warm the hearts of the Tiger faithful in attendance during Family Weekend more than to see them snap their skid with a victory over their conference rivals, the Stony Brook Seawolves.

Stony Brook won the last meeting 27-19 out on Long Island. The Seawolves hold a 4-3 advantage over the Tigers over their last seven meetings.

NEWTigers Squander Opportunity After Fourth Down Failure
Stony Brook kicked off to start the game so now Towson will reciprocate to begin the second half.
Seawolves' first drive goes nowhere, and they'll punt following three plays and five yards of offense. Towson receive the punt in solid field position at their own 41.
Jacob Davis keeps it, and after a nifty move at the line, he'll scamper deep into Stony Brook territory. Stony Brook stuffs their next three plays, but Towson will go for it on 4th and 12 on the 26. Enterline is targeted with enough yards for the first down but the ball slips through his hands and Stony Brook regains possession.

Towson Gets on the Board and We Have a Game Again
Consider that goose egg shattered! Number zero in program, Aaron Enterline, wipes the zero from the scoreboard with a diving, toe-dragging, back-of-the-endzone catch. It wasn't quite must-score time for the Tigers, but it was approaching it.
XP is good and the Tigers cut the lead down to 10, salvaging what could have been a disastrous half for the home team.
Seawolves have one timeout and 1:39 on the clock on their own 23.
A tackle for a loss and now Towson is thinking maybe they'll get another crack at the endzone before the half. Another negative rushing play for Stony Brook makes it 3rd and 17 with 50 seconds left as Towson calls time. Draw play up the middle moves Stony Brook two yards shy of the first. Towson calls their last time out with 40 ticks left on the clock.
The Tigers get the ball back and drive to their own 46 yard line, spiking the ball with 2 seconds left and a hail mary incoming for the last play of the half. Davis launches a missile that lands just inside the end zone, incomplete, amidst a gaggle of players from both teams.
Ten point lead for Stony Brook as this CAA slugfest will take an extended break.

Tigers Pull Within Striking Distance In Pivotal Drive
What can the Tigers do to stop the bleeding? They've got the ball on their own 19 with 9:38 left in the half. A penalty and a couple of runs get the Tigers to their own 43 but that's all they'll manage as they are forced to punt again.
Boyd continues to slice up Towson's pass defense, and the Seawolves matriculate the ball to midfield on the next possession with 5:15 left in the half.
The next series goes much more favorably for the Tigers, as they get their first big third down stop, and a badly needed one at that. Stony Brook punts after being driven back to their own 38.
Towson has 3:35 to break that goose egg off the scoreboard before halftime.
Davis getting it down with the his arm and his feet as he scrambles to the Stony Brook 23 with 2:20. Time out Stony Brook. The last play before the two-minute warning. Let's enjoy these ads together before action resumes.

Seawolves Score Again, Crab Feast In Danger of Ruin
Towson's offense is back on the field. They badly need a score here to stop sinking into the quicksand they were stuck in for most of the first quarter.
A deep ball from Davis eludes his receiver's grasp but a pass interference call moves the ball close to midfield, close to the expertly painted Doc the Tiger mascot.
You may be asking yourself what 'Family Weekend' entailed at Towson. Well, at least one component was a crab feast, under a tent in the stadium. Towson, located just north of Baltimore, Maryland, knows that nothing goes together better than crab cakes and football, naturally.
Unfortunately for the crab meat enjoyers, the Tigers' backfield has become a feast for the Seawolves' defense, and Towson is forced to punt after a sack on third down. Stony Brook gets the ball back on their own 13 with 13:00 left in the second quarter.
James Dely has already had a day and it's just getting started. A deep ball from Boyd has the Seawolves threatening in Tiger territory again. Towson needed a big stop on the next series but a screen to Hester on third down put a crimp in those plans. The Tigers stand the Seawolves down on the next series and Stonny Brook will attempt a 40 yard field goal.
A snap from the hash marks and a kick through the uprights extends the Seawolves' lead to 17.

Stony Brook Capitalizes on Towson Turnover, Boyd Throws For 2nd TD of the First
Towson will get a chance to respond starting at the 20.
Pressure from the Seawolves stymies the Tigers and they go three and out. Stony Brook fair catches a punt at their own 25. The Tigers' defense stiffens up and the Seawolves are forced to punt after three plays.
Potential fumble by the Tigers is currently under review. Tough to see much in the video as the ball did squirt free but it was in the midst of a scrum. Not sure if Xavier Pugh was down or not. And the zebras say he was not. Seawolves recover the ball deep in Tiger territory!
On the second snap, Towson commits a costly defensive pass interference and Stony Brook gets a fresh set of downs at the 24 yard line. Boyd links with Seth Sweitzer who picks up some YAC and hurdles into the air at the one yard line, gets flipped head over heels and lands in the endzone for the Seawolves second tuddy of the first quarter.
Take a look at Sweitzer's aerial maneuvers in the tweet below.

Seawolves Draw First Blood On Their Opening Drive
Towson starts true freshman Jacob Davis at quarterback as starter Andrew Indorf is out with an injury.
Davis moves the Tigers swiftly to the 50 yard line before the Seawolves pick up their first sack of the game. A screen pass on third down is sniffed out and the Tigers take a loss on third down as their opening drive stalls out on their own 43.
Stony Brook's first drive of the game will begin on the 23. Seawolf QB Quinn Boyd airs it out deep on the opening snap but it's not in the vicinity of his intended receiver. The NCAA leader in rushing touchdowns, Seawolf CJ Hester, gets positive yardage on the next play. The Seawolves are now up to the 50.
Stony Brook runs it up the middle a couyple of times which sets up a QB roll out that advances the Seawolves deep into enemy territory.
Seawolves are on the board on the next play as Bpyd connects for a touchdown! Extra point is good Stony Brook has an early seven point lead.
