No. 13 Rhode Island vs. Stony Brook Football Highlights | 2026 CAA Football6:33

It's a chill weekend for football with a lot of teams on bye weeks.

Regardless, we're still in the heart of conference play, and every CAA game has something at stake.

This week, my watch list includes hopes for Towson's first win, some important Landmark Conference games, and a battle between two teams coming off major CAA upsets.

Grab some popcorn, make a bonfire (safely) and settle in for another weekend of football on FloCollege.

Stony Brook vs. Towson - 4 PM ET

Stony Brook is 3-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play after a dominant 56-24 win over the CAA's preseason No. 1, Rhode Island. With Khalid Bueno being a monster on defense and Quinn Boyd at quarterback, the Seawolves have plenty going for them.

Bueno leads the FCS with 7.5 sacks and 11.5 tackles for loss this season, making him one of the biggest threats to Towson's offense.

Stony Brook currently sits fourth in the CAA, behind three teams at 2-0. A win would move the Seawolves closer to the top, especially with two of those teams on a bye week.

While I'm predicting a win for Stony Brook, I would love to see Towson earn its first win of the season. The Tigers are 0-6, but nearly took down Monmouth in Week 5, losing by a single point, 41-40.

If Towson plays as it did against Monmouth, this game is not one to miss.

Lycoming vs. Wilkes - 1 PM ET

Landmark Conference play is underway, and Lycoming, Wilkes and West Conn are all sitting at 1-0. One of those undefeated conference records will be gone after Saturday.

With strong performances by West Conn and Susquehanna this season, the race for postseason opportunities could get interesting. Last year, Wilkes defeated Shenandoah 37-35 in the Chesapeake Challenge Bowl Series, while Lycoming fell to Washington and Lee 14-12. Susquehanna represented the Landmark in the NCAA Division III Tournament.

It's early, but a loss here could make the rest of conference play a lot more difficult for either team.

Susquehanna vs. Catholic - 12 PM ET

Speaking of Susquehanna, you might as well check in on the River Hawks.

Susquehanna climbed as high as No. 5 before a 21-0 loss to Christopher Newport in Week 4 dropped the River Hawks to No. 9. It's their only loss of the season, and now they're looking to start conference play undefeated.

Catholic is coming off a Week 5 loss to Lycoming, while Susquehanna had a bye week to recover from its loss to CNU.

That extra week of rest could make an already difficult matchup even tougher for Catholic.

Elon vs. Wofford - 2 PM ET

Elon and Wofford go way back, long before Elon joined the CAA. This weekend marks their 41st meeting, with Wofford leading the all-time series 28-12. The Terriers won six straight meetings before Elon snapped the streak with a 26-0 shutout in 2022.

Wofford is coming off a big 32-25 win over Furman, while Elon is looking to bounce back from a 30-23 loss to New Hampshire. But Elon's loss was a weird one.

The Phoenix outgained New Hampshire 464-355 and rushed for 272 yards while holding the Wildcats to just 54 yards on the ground. Unfortunately, four turnovers and an 0-for-12 performance on third down proved costly.

If Elon can stop giving away possessions, I think we're in for a pretty good matchup.

New Hampshire vs. North Carolina A&T - 12 PM ET

Both teams sport a 1-2 conference record, with each win coming from major upsets. In Week 5, UNH took down Elon 30-23, while NCAT beat Rhode Island 22-18 in Week 4.

New Hampshire enters at 2-4 overall, while North Carolina A&T is 1-5 after a heartbreaking 31-30 loss to Bryant last week.

Now the question is whether those upset wins were flukes or signs that these teams are finally turning things around. With so many CAA teams on a bye, a win Saturday could give either team a much-needed boost in the conference standings.
