Week 0 In The Books: NCAA D2 Football Wrap-Up & Final Results

Division II football officially kicked off the 2026 season this weekend, and Saturday delivered plenty of action, big performances and statement wins across the country.

Northwest Missouri State made one of the biggest statements of the day, rolling past Texas A&M-Kingsville 48-3. The Bearcats controlled the game from start to finish in an impressive opening-weekend performance.

Western Oregon also grabbed attention, edging Colorado School of Mines 22-20 in a thrilling matchup. Meanwhile, several other DII teams opened their seasons with wins across Saturday’s packed slate.
