Texas A&M Kingsville vs. Midwestern State
The Midwestern State Mustangs will return to host the Texas A&M Javelinas on Oct. 4
The Mustangs are hoping to find a spark after a slow season so far. Midwestern State is 0-4 on the season and 0-2 in LSC play. Midwestern continued LSC play on the road, where the Mustangs travelled to Odessa, Texas, to take on UT Permian Basin on Sept. 27.
In the 37-15 loss, the Mustangs tallied 296 yards of offense. Quarterback Sean Jastrab was 12-for-20 on pass completion with 196 yards and one touchdown pass.
The Javelinas are on a bit of a rollercoaster ride in the 2025 season. Texas A&M Kingsville is currently 2-2 on the season and 1-1 in LSC play.
In the most recent matchup, the Javelinas were on fire, defeating Sul Ross State 52-3. In the victory, the Javelinas tallied 417 yards of offense. Quarterback Jack Turner was 30-for-38 on pass completion with 393 yards and two touchdown passes.
Kickoff is set for 8:00 PM ET and will be streamed on FloCollege.
Sul Ross State vs. West Texas A&M

The Buffs are currently 2-3 on the 2025 season and 2-1 in LSC play. In the most recent contest, West Texas A&M hosted the Western Oregon Wolves and walked away with a 35-7 victory. In the win, the Buffs tallied 559 yards of offense. Quarterback RJ Martinez was 37-for-46 on pass completion.
The Lobos of Sul Ross State are still looking for their spark in Week 5. Sul Ross State is currently 0-4 on the season and 0-2 in LSC play. In the most recent LSC matchup, the Lobos hosted Texas A&M Kingsville and suffered a 52-3 loss. In the loss, the Lobos tallied 177 yards of offense. Quarterback Andrew Martinez was 12-for-27 on pass completion.
Kickoff is set for 8:00 PM ET and will be streamed on FloCollege!
Week 2 Predictions
Like all NCAA D2 football games, it is mostly a toss-up until the clock runs out, but here are some predictions for how these four LSC matchups will shape up in Week 5.
The Rams and the Falcons will be a brawl until the final horn. These two teams are in the top ten of the D2 rankings for a reason, and it could come down to who has the last possession. With both teams being stacked in talent on offense and defense, the quarterback duo for Angelo State has been unstoppable this season. While anything can happen, the Angelo State Rams are the favorites to walk away with a win in San Angelo, Texas.
The Mustangs and the Javelinas are two teams who desperately need a Week 5 win to boost the momentum. Kingsville definitely has the momentum on its side coming into Wichita Falls, Texas, with a win, but the Mustangs historically have played well at home. It will be a toss-up, but the Texas A&M-Kingsville Javelinas should walk away with the win.
Last but certainly not least, the West Texas A&M Buffaloes should walk away comfortably with a win over the Sul Ross State Lobos. The Lobos have struggled to get their offense going, and the Buffs have a strong quarterback in RJ Martinez, who has proved he has a good arm and is mobile time and time again.
With three games on the docket for the LSC on Saturday, Oct. 4, make sure you are tuned in to FloCollege to catch all of the action.
