Villanova started the season off with a 24-17 win against Colgate, but followed it up with a hefty 6-52 loss to Penn State. Coming into CAA play, the Wildcats look to bounce back and secure a top spot in the CAA football rankings.

Monmouth started the season off with two wins, but recently fell to Charlotte in a tight 53-42 game. Despite their recent loss, the Hawks quarterback Derek Robertson was named offensive player of the week by the CAA. Robertson is a consistent player, completing 30 of 44 passes for a total of 364 yards. His strengths will tighten Monmouth’s play in the upcoming game.
