FCS Football Rankings 2025 Week 2: Rhode Island Moves Up After CAA Clash
After two weekends of football, see the latest FCS football rankings as the 2025 season continued into September.
The latest 2025 FCS college football rankings are out with this weeks Coaches Poll just released reflecting the weekend's 80 games in the rearview mirror.
A few teams, including Rhode Island and Abilene Christian, came out as the biggest winners of the week. Things weren't so peachy for the South Dakota Coyotes or UC Davis.
Reigning champion North Dakota State and South Dakota State continue their duel for the top spot as they both took wins in week two. South Dakota State's statement win over No. 3 Montana State was enough to give them the edge despite North Dakota State's 56-point routing over Tennessee State.

A big conference road win for the Rhode Island over Stony Brook 31-17 lifted the Rams three spots.
Abilene Christian and Stephen F. Austin battled it out in the only other ranked FCS game this weekend. Abilene Christian came out on top 28-20, pulling them up a few spots to 13.
FCS teams won out in two of the FCS vs FBS match-ups this week—Long Island and Bryant both took close wins. LIU defeated Eastern Michigan 28-23 while Bryant barely edged out UMass, winning 27-26 after 25-yard game-winning field goal in Amherst by senior Bryce Soli.
