Theo Wease Turns The Opening Into His Personal Showcase

No one planned for Team Overdrive to, for all intents and purposes, become Team Oklahoma—but that's exactly how it played out during The Opening in Frisco, Texas.

The squad was almost exclusively Sooners on the offensive side of the ball at times, with top-ranked wide receiver Theo Wease on the field with No. 1 quarterback Spencer Rattler, '20 running back prospect Jase McClellan, blue chip wide receivers Trejan Bridges and Arjei Henderson, and virtually uncoverable tight end Austin Stogner.

On July 3, 2018, that assembly of talent meant a 7-on-7 championship for Overdrive. What the formation of the kind of cohesiveness we saw during the week—months if not years ahead of schedule—will mean for OU remains to be seen. 

But, if nothing else, this was a hell of a start.
