Dakereon Joyner: South Carolina's Own Is Locked & Loyal
Fort Dorchester (SC) quarterback Dakereon Joyner lost his father when he was 9 years old. In the years since, he has paid tribute to his dad at every opportunity — and an entire community was behind him.
Joyner is loyal and he values the same trait in others. That fact, in and of itself, does well to explain why the top quarterback prospect in South Carolina opted to stay home and play for Will Muschamp and the Gamecocks.
For a storied Fort Dorchester program, Joyner will forever be one of the all-time greats. At South Carolina, he hopes to leave a similar legacy.
