High School Football Flo25
Centennial's Defense Continues To Show Out
It was absolute demolition on the part of all 24 teams from the public school Flo25 who were in action last week.
In lieu of choosing any one specific example, let's just do it this way: __-ranked __________ hammered __________ on Friday.
Ok, ok. Here are a few notes:
We may not have to wait long for a rematch between fourth-ranked Carol City (FL) and No. 5 Miami Central (FL). Carol City opens the playoffs with Norland. The Rockets open with Dillard. Should they both win—and, spoiler alert, they'll both win—the teams will meet for the second time in less than a month on Nov. 16.
Eighth-ranked Colquitt County (GA) tied a bow on a perfect regular season with a 40-6 victory over Lowndes last week. The Packers will open the playoffs against Etowah, as Rush Propst aims for his third state title since assuming command of Colquitt County back in 2008.
No. 2 Corona Centennial (CA) continues to smother the hell out of folks defensively. The Huskies improved to 11-0 on Friday with a 35-7 victory over an Orange Lutheran team that features five-star wide receiver Kyle Ford and four-star quarterback Ryan Hilinski. That's the sixth time in the past seven contests that Centennial has held its opponent to seven points or less.
