The South Atlantic Conference announced its Football Players of the Week for games played during the sixth week of the 2022 season. 

Lenoir-Rhyne quarterback Sean White was tabbed as the SAC Offensive Player of the Week, while Emory & Henry linebacker Ivan Phillips was named SAC Defensive Player of the Week.

Lenoir-Rhyne return man Ryan Carter picked up SAC Special Teams Player of the Week honors.

White, a sophomore from Sarasota, Florida, connected on 77.3% of his passes and accounted for five touchdowns – four passing and one rushing – in the No. 14 Bears’ 51-30 win over Limestone. 

He threw for 247 yards in the game and rushed for nine yards to finish the game with 256 yards of offense. White’s four touchdown passes ties an NCAA-era record for most TD passes in a game at Lenoir-Rhyne.

Phillips, a senior from Kingsport, Tennessee, led the Wasps to a 34-14 SAC win over UVA Wise. He racked up 10 tackles, including eight solo tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss. 

Phillips also recovered a fumble and returned it for a touchdown.

Carter, a senior from Ringgold, Georgia, had 129 return yards, including a 95-yard scamper for a touchdown in the Bears’ win over Limestone. 

For the game, Carter had averaged 43 yards per return on his three returns.
