We add a chapter to the Red Rail Rivalry on Saturday when Colleyville Heritage meets Grapevine at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas.

Who: Colleyville Heritage Panthers (0-0) vs. Grapevine Mustangs (0-0)

When: Saturday, Sept. 26, 8 PM CT

Where: Globe Life Park, Arlington, Texas

Watch: LIVE on FloFootball

After reaching the third round of the UIL playoffs for the first time since the program's state championship in 1998 two years ago, Grapevine took a step back in 2019, winning six games after totaling 29 victories over the previous three years. But Mike Alexander has established a winning culture and an expectation for success with the Mustangs and that figures to continue in 2020.

Grapevine welcomes back a bevy of talent, including running back Caleb Texada, wide receiver Ben Gair, tight end Griffin Edwards and linebacker Kade Keeling.

Across the ball, Kirk Martin makes his return to Texas high school football after two years at Syracuse. Martin assumes command of a Colleyville Heritage squad managing sky-high expectations after nine wins and a regional final appearance in 2019.

Quarterback AJ Smith is back for his senior season and he will have plenty of tools at his disposal in the passing game: namely Rice-bound tight end Jaggar Hebeisen. Isaac Shabay is back at wide receiver and in the secondary and thousand-yard back Braxton Ash will again flank Smith in the backfield.

Defensively, keep an eye on Josh Dobbins, a rangy 6-foot-2 corner with solid speed who has been attracting plenty of attention from recruiters at the Division II level.

The Red Rail showdown is always a must-watch, but with both programs entering 2020 with their eyes on AT&T Stadium, this one figures to be something special.
