Five former CAA Football players were in the starting lineup for their respective teams during Week 1 of the NFL season.
The top performance was turned in my Washington Football Team cornerback Jimmy Moreland (James Madison), who made six tackles and recorded his first career interception in a 27-17 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Also making starts in the opening game were tight end Nick Boyle (Delaware) and fullback Patrick Ricard (Maine) for the Baltimore Ravens, defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon (Villanova) for the Kansas City Chiefs and nose tackle Bilal Nichols (Delaware) for the Chicago Bears. All five CAA Football alums who made starts were part of teams that won their opening game.
Below is a list of how the 24 former CAA Football players fared in Week 1 action. Congratulations to former Towson cornerback Tye Smith, who was promoted to the active roster for the Tennessee Titans.
