CAA Football had 21 players from nine different teams recognized on the 2020 HERO Sports Preseason FCS All-America team that was released on Thursday afternoon.
Headlining the list were six first-team selections – UAlbany senior running back Karl Mofor, JMU senior offensive lineman Liam Fornadel, Towson senior running back/returner Shane Simpson, Richmond junior defensive lineman Kobie Turner, Villanova senior linebacker Forrest Rhyne and JMU senior safety/returner D’Angelo Amos.
Eleven CAA standouts were honored on the second team – UAlbany sophomore quarterback Jeff Undercuffler, JMU senior running back Percy Agyei-Obese, Villanova senior offensive lineman Paul Grattan, Stony Brook junior offensive lineman Kyle Nunez, Villanova senior wide receiver Changa Hodge, Villanova senior quarterback Daniel Smith, JMU senior defensive lineman Mike Greene, Maine senior linebacker Deshawn Stevens, UAlbany senior linebacker Levi Metheny, Delaware junior defensive back Kedrick Whitehead and Villanova sophomore linebacker Elijah Solomon.
Rounding out the list were four third-team picks – Maine senior offensive lineman Liam Dobson, Villanova senior defensive back Jaquan Amos, JMU senior kicker Ethan Ratke and William & Mary sophomore safety/returner Bronson Yoder.
