Villanova continued its climb up the rankings, moving to No. 5 in the STATS poll and No. 8 in the AFCA poll following a 33-17 triumph over nationally ranked Maine last week. The Wildcats (5-0), who are off to their best start since 2009, travel to William & Mary on Saturday.

Towson rose to No. 9 in the STATS poll and remained at No. 10 in the AFCA poll despite a 38-0 loss at SEC power Florida. The Tigers (3-2) have a bye this week before hosting UAlbany on Oct. 12.

Delaware edged up one spot to No. 18 in the AFCA poll and No. 19 in the STATS poll following its narrow 17-14 setback at ACC member Pitt last Saturday. The Blue Hens (3-2) have a bye this week before visiting Elon on Oct. 12.

Maine slipped to No. 20 in the STATS Top 25 and No. 22 in the AFCA Top 25 after falling 33-17 at unbeaten Villanova last week. The Black Bears (2-3) are on a bye this week before entertaining Richmond on Oct. 12.

Stony Brook moved into both polls at No. 24 after rallying for a 31-27 victory at Rhode Island last Saturday. The Seawolves (4-1) host No. 2 James Madison this week.
