CAA Football tops all FCS conferences with six nationally ranked teams in the latest STATS and AFCA Top 25 polls that were released on Monday.

James Madison remained at No. 2 in both polls after rolling over Morgan State, 63-12 last Saturday. The Dukes (2-1) open a three-game road swing at Chattanooga on Saturday afternoon.

Towson jumped to No. 5 in both polls following its 45-23 road win at No. 7/9 Maine last week. It’s the Tigers’ highest ranking since 2013. Towson (3-0) hosts unbeaten Villanova on Saturday night.

Maine slipped to No. 12 in the STATS Top 25 and No. 16 in the AFCA Top 25 following its setback to Towson last week. The Black Bears (1-2) visit Colgate on Saturday.

Villanova continued its climb up the rankings, moving to No. 18 in both polls after beating Bucknell, 45-10, last Saturday. The Wildcats (3-0) travel to No. 5 Towson for their CAA opener this week.

Delaware fell to No. 20 in both polls after suffering a 47-22 setback to No. 1 North Dakota State last week. The Blue Hens (2-1) are back at home to face Penn on Saturday.

Elon moved up to No. 22 in both polls following its 42-20 conference road win at Richmond last week. The Phoenix (2-1) face a tough challenge at unbeaten ACC member Wake Forest on Saturday.

Stony Brook (2-1) and William & Mary (2-1) were among others receiving votes in both polls. The Seawolves host Fordham on Saturday while the Tribe visits East Carolina.

CAA Football’s six ranked teams in the STATS poll was followed by the Big Sky Conference and the Missouri Valley Football Conference, which both had five ranked teams.
