Klay Thompson Will Be Guest Picker On College Gameday--Probably
Rumor has it, Golden State Warriors guard and Wazzu great Klay Thompson will be the man seated next Lee Corso in Pullman on Saturday.
Safe to say this week’s guest picker on ESPN’s College Gameday will get a little better ovation from the home crowd that last week.
Maybe.
A week after Chainsmokerz got booed for no reason by Michigan fans who—I guess—would’ve preferred someone more like, oh I don’t know, Blake Griffin ...
... rumor has it, Golden State Warriors guard and Wazzu great Klay Thompson will be the man seated next Lee Corso in Pullman on Saturday.
And, by “rumor,” I mean Dave Pasch said as much during the Mavericks-Suns broadcast last night.
I believe Dave Pasch said Klay Thompson will be the GameDay picker on Saturday in Pullman.

Of course, then The Athletic’s Anthony Slater had to go and ruin the fun for Cougars fans with this bombshell of a refute:

So, now what do we believe?
The Warriors are in Salt Lake City on Friday and Denver on Sunday, so it’s not like they’re headed on some East Coast swing for a week. Also, airplanes are a thing.
So, with respect to Anthony, here’s thinking Dave spilled the beans. Can’t wait to see Klay—or his lookalike—on campus Saturday morning. Going to be awesome.
