Wekiva Makes A Statement In Win Over North Gwinnett
Wekiva dominated 20th-ranked North Gwinnett, sending a message to all future opponents and onlookers: The Mustangs are for real.
Wekiva is relatively new at this whole being really, really freaking good thing—but they’ve already got it down pat.
The 23rd-ranked Mustangs made it very clear to anyone inside of the stadium in Milton, Ga., on Saturday night in the finale of the Freedom Bowl: They’re a force to be reckoned with.

Supreme Richardson carried the rock 31 times for 114 yards for Wekiva, dominating the bulk of the offensive load and wearing North Gwinnett’s defense down in the process.
Pittsburgh safety commit Brandon Hill rushed 16 times for 57 yards and scored on three one-yard touchdown runs to provide the scoring.

A North Gwinnett offense that put up 37 points in its season-opener, managed just 31 rushing yards, as a filthy Wekiva defense held Iowa-bound running back Tyler Goodson to just 10 yards on 10 carries.
The Bulldogs held the football for just over 16 minutes of the game, as Wekiva maintained possession for 33:41 of the game.
Wekiva improve to 2-0 with the victory and can expect to climb in the Flo25 HSFB Rankings after so soundly beating a North Gwinnett team that entered the game ranked No. 20.
The Bulldogs (1-1) will try to get back on track next week when Norcross visits Suwanee, Ga.
