Grayson (GA) linebacker Owen Pappoe broke some hearts on Twitter with an ad-libbed commitment to Oklahoma on April Fools' Day.

Some folks got it.

Others, not so much.

In any case, Pappoe was just clowning—and it wasn’t premeditated.

“It wasn’t even planned,” he said. “Coach Kenyatta (Watson) just posted that I was committed, so I just went with it.”

Of course, if you were paying attention, you’d know that Pappoe isn’t committing until May 5—and the nation’s top outside linebacker sure isn’t committing with a haphazard quote tweet.

Sorry, Steven.

Pappoe’s top schools are said to include Georgia, Auburn, Nebraska, and Clemson. Oklahoma isn’t on the list. In fact, the Sooners aren’t even on his massive offer list of—according to 247Sports—42 schools.

We’ll find out soon enough where he’s headed, but, it’s safe to say, it’s probably not going to be Norman.
