Barkley totaled 5,557 all-purpose yards and 53 touchdowns during a three-year career at PSU and is — by all accounts — one of the most marketable players to enter the NFL in recent memory. Needless to say, he's a huge pickup for the brand.
The agreement came on Barkley's 21st birthday, as well, which is nice touch. Most of us were just trying to navigate our way home for a long night of sleeping on the bathroom floor. The former Nittany Lion, on the other hand, was busy signing a multi-million dollar contract to wear the Swoosh.
Suum cuique.
