Both teams have been on a scoring tear through three games of playoff action. The Raiders have scored an average of 46.6 points per game, and, following an incredible 80-62 shootout win against Colleyville last week, Coronado is averaging 61 points per contest. In other words, get your popcorn ready.

Ryan is fresh off of a strong 49-28 win over Lubbock Monterey, and if quarterback Spencer Sanders’ performances thus far are any indication, the Raiders are going to come out fast against the Mustangs. The Oklahoma State commit connected with Texas Tech pledge Gabriel Douglas for three scores on three consecutive possessions to give the Raiders an early lead last week. Running back Emani Bailey also finished with 100 yards and a touchdown.

Ryan’s well-balanced offense and stellar defense have made the Raiders one of the best teams in the state for the past two years. Over that span, Ryan has lost just once, to Highland Park in last season's state semifinals.

While Coronado’s 80-point game already sounds incredible, it’s even more amazing when you consider that the Mustangs' opponent, Colleyville, hadn’t given up more than 36 points in a game all season. The 5A Offensive Player of the Year from a season ago, Qua Gray, wasn’t playing around, throwing six touchdowns, including four to receiver Blair Conwright. Gray completed 22 of 33 passes and finished the game turnover-free.

The difference-maker could most certainly be turnovers in this quarterfinal matchup. While Coronado put up 80, it also gave up 62 points and 508 yards in the air to Colleyville. Ryan on the other hand, capitalized on its quick start a week ago and came away with two turnovers in the first half.

There’s no telling what can happen when two explosive offenses meet up in a win-or-go-home setting, but you know you’re going to want to witness.
