Todd Gurley may enjoy traveling abroad. He may not. But it's safe to say that he's not super keen on backpacking Europe during the NFL season.

Following their win in Jacksonville on Sunday, Gurley and the Los Angeles Rams stayed in Florida, where they practiced for the first part of the week before departing for London on an overnight flight Thursday night. In London, the Rams will play the Arizona Cardinals -- who, you know, play in a neighboring state. That fact was not lost on Gurley when he met reporters upon arriving in The Big Smoke on Friday.

"It just doesn't make sense," Gurley told reporters after practice. "We play Arizona. It's a 45-minute flight. But instead we've got Arizona and us (here). If we were to travel all the way from L.A. it's 13 hours to travel, when you can just travel 45 minutes. But hey, whatever floats their boat."

He's not wrong. The London game is obnoxious to players, American fans, and fantasy football owners who forget to set their lineups before what is often an early morning kickoff. It's especially ridiculous when two west coast teams separated by about 370 miles on I-10 are forced to fly cross-country... and then across the Atlantic Ocean, just to play a football game.

There's insult to injury for both teams, too, when you consider that A) this counts as a home game for the Rams, who will only end up with seven games in LA this year, and B) the Cardinals are forfeiting the aforementioned 45-minute flight and what would have been an extremely convenient road trip.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
