Last week had some good (#BoilerUp) and some bad (See: State, Washington). The most important development was the end of the Cover 4 Headline Curse.

Glad that's over. I wasn't really sure how to go headline-less, but rest assured that it was definitely under heavy consideration.

Like last week, we're going exclusively with road teams -- which was a complete accident, by the way -- but each of these were too good to pass up.

Pro tip: just unpack your bag from last week directly into the washing machine -- and then put it all right back in the duffel from whence it came. No need to overthink the wardrobe.

Western Kentucky (-10) over OLD DOMINION
Friday, Oct. 20 | 6 PM ET | Norfolk, VA (S.B. Ballard Stadium)
Old Dominion can't score -- which is something of a concern. The Monarchs have also struggled to stop others from scoring, and that's not awesome, either.

Western Kentucky finally rediscovered its offense in a homecoming demolition of winless Charlotte. And, while the 49ers may not have a tally mark in the win column, they have looked better on D than ODU.

Purdue (-9) over RUTGERS
Saturday, Oct. 21 | Noon ET | Piscataway, NJ (High Point Solutions Stadium)
Vegas just keeps gift-wrapping Boilermakers wins against the spread.

Rutgers can't throw the football -- like, at all. And Purdue's front seven (with some help from a secondary facing little or no threat over the top) is too good for the Scarlet Knights to run exclusively against.

Rutgers' win against Illinois was nice last week because… well, because it was a win… but Purdue is solid this year -- in spite of the fact that oddsmakers have been asleep at the wheel where they're concerned. The Boilermakers are going bowling. This road trip to Rutgers is win No. 4.

Central Florida (-7.5) over NAVY
Saturday | 3:30 PM ET | Annapolis, MD (Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium)
Similar to the above recipe for success, Navy doesn't throw and Central Florida has crushed opposing running games all season. Also, in case you missed it, alpha male Scott Frost has been playing scout team quarterback in practice this week -- and, with respect to Zach Abbey, I mean, c'mon…

Anyway, there's also the issue of stopping UCF. No one has been able to pull that off thus far, and Navy's lone contest against an above-average air attack didn't go so hot -- and McKenzie Milton > Riley Ferguson.

Arizona (-3) over CALIFORNIA
Saturday | 5 PM PT | Berkeley, CA (Memorial Stadium)
In case you're a fan of going to bed at a reasonable hour on Saturday nights, allow me to be the first to tell you about the new superstar who plays most of his games in the Pacific time zone: Arizona quarterback Khalil Tate.

Tate made his first start two weeks ago against Colorado, and all he's done in two games as the Wildcats' starter is complete 21 of 26 passes for 302 yards, two touchdowns, and no picks. Oh, and he has 557 yards and five touchdowns on 29 carries.

Five-hundred-fifty-seven yards. In two games.

In the meantime, Arizona -- who was previously a complete afterthought in the Pac-12 -- is now a sneaky league title contender. Bear Down.

Season Record: 16-12 -- When in doubt, bet against ugly uniforms.
