Christopher Newport vs. Susquehanna Football Highlights | 2026 D3 Football4:31

Boo! Gotcha. Happy Halloweekend! The only thing more scared than these schools making the playoffs is my D3 football predictions. We've got 3 weeks left of the regular season, which means only 15 more predictions left.

Don't get too sad because the predictions themselves will make you question everything you know about D3 football. This week I've predicted some early conference champions in the Landmark, NWW, and NEWMAC.

Without further ado, here are 5 scary D3 football predictions.

Lycoming Takes Over Landmark After Win Against Susquehanna

Susquehanna has never lost a Landmark Conference game. Until now. It's time for the changing of the guard, but even this pick scares me.

Susquehanna stays ranked at No. 15. But this game is not about rankings; it's about a serious rivalry and milestone to warm hearts across the country.

Lycoming coach Mike Clark is up for his 100th win this weekend as the Warriors face Susquehanna. While a major accomplishment in itself, Clark's son, Brendan Clark, returned for his 5th year to play the 2026 season. Not only would this secure Lycoming their first Landmark title, but it would also mark a historic moment in Lycoming and Clark Family history.

However, it is going to be a tough battle for Lycoming. Susquehanna leads the Landmark in offense and rushing, while Matt Surtz leads in rushing and scoring. For Lycoming, Trinity Hill-Caleb leads in tackles for loss, and Aiden Bartlett leads in interceptions.

There's a conference champion on the line here; you better pay attention.

Prediction: Lycoming Defeats Susquehanna.

Centre Beats #16 Berry

We have an upset coming your way, so get excited! Berry stays stagnant in the ranks in the number 16 spot. But here comes Centre ready to shake things up.

Berry is at the top of the conference with a 3-1 record, but Centre has Mason Trimble. Against Sewanee, Trimble threw 7 passing touchdowns for 465 passing yards. The week prior, he went 15 for 19 passes and threw another seven passing touchdowns.

Sure, Berry has a 6-1 record, but again, Centre has Trimble. Berry has a strong defense, allowing only 20 points over 3 games, so it will be a battle of Berry defense and Mason Trimble's offense.

Prediction: Berry gets bumped from rankings after a loss to Centre.

Baldwin Wallace Shuts Out Wilmington

Baldwin Wallace currently sits at the top of the OAC. Baldwin Wallace is currently undefeated this season. Scary things are going to happen on Saturday, but BW losing is not going to be one of them.

BW has dominated every game it has been in this season. The fewest points it has won by was 24 against Marietta. The final score of that game was 31-7.

Wilmington, on the other hand, has only won 2 games this season. Their offense has been able to put up decent points, but they also only won against winless Muskingum by a single touchdown.

Prediction: Wilmington goes scoreless against Baldwin Wallace.

Linfield Takes #1 Spot in NWC After Win Over Lewis and Clark

Linfield and Lewis and Clark are tied at #1 in the NWC. Lewis and Clark might have led a team to reach the Pacific Ocean,  but they will no longer lead the team to a conference title.

With the next three teams at only 2 wins, this could decide the winner of the conference.

They both share almost identical records, with a 4-game win streak against all conference teams. Unfortunately, they have played completely different teams, except for Whitworth. Linfield and Lewis and Clark won against Whitworth, but Lewis and Clark won by 2 points in three overtimes. In contrast, Linfield beat Whitworth 32-19 in regulation time.

Linfield leads the NWC in rushing while Lewis and Clark lead in offense.

Prediction: Linfield takes over the NWC with a win against Lewis and Clark.

Springfield Stays Undefeated Against Coast Guard

Welcome to the rankings, Springfield! After beating USMMA 30-12 in Week 7, Springfield takes over the NEWMAC with a perfect 4-0 conference record and puts themselves at No. 24 in the FloCollege D3 Football Rankings. They have gone undefeated in the NEWMAC since 2019, and this year will be no different.

Matthew LaBouliere and Caleb McClure lead the NEWMAC in scoring for Coast Guard, averaging over 8 points per game. Springfield's Stanford Davis continues his massive career, averaging 95 rushing yards per game.

In the past 17 meetings between the two, Springfield has won 12 straight and 15 overall matchups. The game is set; the only question left is the score.

Prediction: Springfield defeats Coast Guard to stay undefeated in NEWMAC play.
