This spooky Saturday, we've got 6 CAA matchups coming your way. A lot will be decided this weekend, and there's a lot to watch.
#12/15 Campbell vs. RV/#25 UAlbany - 12:00 PM ET
The Great Danes will host the Camels in the highly anticipated matchup of the weekend. Campbell is one of only two schools with an undefeated conference record.
However, we have consistently seen UAlbany prove themselves against top teams.
Campbell has had a rather easy conference schedule so far this season. They sit 4-0 against the 4 of the bottom 6 teams.
On the other hand, UAlbany is 3-1 in conference play with their only loss to the #1 Monmouth. Their major win comes from Stony Brook who they are tied with for the third position.
Both teams are ranked now that UAlbany sits 25th in the AFCA Coaches Poll. This will be one of their toughest matchups yet, but they are also playing their best football yet.
If I were you, I wouldn't miss this one.
Sacred Heart vs. RV Stony Brook - 12:00 PM ET
Sacred Heart has been working hard in their first season of the CAA as they currently sit in the top half of the conference. They sit with a 3-2 conference record, more wins than losses, but the real test will be Stony Brook.
Stony Brook only sits ahead of the Pioneers because they have played one less game with a 3-1 record.
If you take a look at their stat comparisons, Stony Brook leads in passing yards and sacks. But SHU is not out of the picture. They might not have single standout players, but together they know how to turn the ball over with better statistics in first, third, and fourth down conversions.
You can look at stats all you want, but you will just have to watch the game to find out the real winner.
Maine vs. Rhode Island - 12:00 PM ET
Maine has had a really rough season so far. They have earned only a single win over 8 weeks of play, coming from the first game of the season against Towson.
Since week one, they have consistently come up short, barely able to put points on the board.
However, Rhode Island has been having the same problem.
Their record stands a bit better at 4-4, but the Rams have not done well against CAA teams this season. Against UAlbany, quarterback Alex McClelland threw for 185 yards - equivalent to what two of UAlbany's QBs threw. Their defense could not stand against UAlbany's offense.
There is less of a problem on the offensive side against Maine, but they will need to get their defense together to hold their spot in the standings this late into the season.
Hampton vs. Towson - 1:00 PM ET
This game carries a lot of weight, but not for the reasons you might think. Hampton and Towson are both 0-4 in conference play. And even better, Towson is 0-8 overall in 2026. So the winner of this will officially move up from last place.
All eyes are on Towson as they look to find their first win of 2026. I have said for weeks that their record shows losses, but it does not show the performance of the team.
Over the last 4 weeks, they have lost by an average of 4.25 points. One loss was to #1 Monmouth, another to competitive Delaware State, and another to ranked Stony Brook and Campbell.
To a couple of those same teams, Hampton has not performed to the same standards. If there is a week for Towson to take a win and get their team on the right track, it's this week. And scarier things have happened.
RV Bryant vs. #18/#17 Monmouth - 1:00 PM ET
In week 8, Bryant earned its first conference loss and not only dropped down from being undefeated, but it's now tied with Stony Brook and UAlbany with a 3-1 record.
Let's see what a win and a loss will do to these teams.
A win for Monmouth would mean they remain at the top of the conference and have a perfect 6-0 record. There are two possibilities for a loss scenario for Monmouth. If Monmouth loses and Campbell loses, Monmouth will remain at the top. If Monmouth loses and Campbell wins, Campbell will remain at a perfect record and therefore surpass Monmouth in leading the CAA.
At this point of the season, Bryant will not pass Monmouth if they win. They have only played 4 games to Monmouth's 5, and there are too many variables to determine where they will place.
While I'm not a statistician or future teller, I do know that if you're paying attention to who will win the CAA and earn an automatic bid into the season, you're going to want to pay attention to this game.
Elon vs. NC A&T - 1:00 PM ET
While Elon started the season off super strong and has tapered off, NC A&T started off slowly and has worked their way back to a winning streak.
This game means a lot in the CAA because both teams sit almost directly in the middle of the conference. With a 2-2 record, there are 6 teams ahead of them and 5 teams below them. Meaning, one team is going to get left behind.
Truly, this is anyone's game.
