Elon Fumble Gives Terriers Another Opportunity As Clock Winds Down
After fumbling four times in the opening half last week against Maine, Elon suffers a third turnover in the first half against Wofford.
This time, it's a fumble on the kickoff after the Wofford field goal.
Again, the play is reviewed, but there's not enough evidence to overturn the call. The fumble stands.
Wofford has the ball back at the Elon 25-yard line.
The Terriers fail to progress and let the clock run down to 0:03, before attempting to end the half with another field goal.
Deviney, with the wind in his favor, knocks it through from 37 yards to extend the Wofford lead to nine.

Wofford Continues Momentum With Interception, Nearly Fumbles It Away
Elon sophomore quarterback Brady Stober is intercepted by Campbell, who recovered a fumble earlier in the contest.
It's the first pick of the year for Stober, and it is returned to the Elon 4-yard line.
The Phoenix have turned it over nine times across their two losses this year, and this is their second turnover of this half.
However, on third and goal with less than a minute to play, junior running back Gerald Modest Jr. catches a pass and fumbles it at the goal line.
The play is reviewed, and it is determined to be an incomplete pass, forcing fourth down and another field goal opportunity.
Deviney, who was 1 for 1 coming into the game, connects from 22 yards to increase the lead to 6-0.
The drive is four plays for zero yards but ends with three points.
