The preseason favorite and only ranked team in the CAA will host one of just two remaining unbeaten CAA squads in a must-see conference battle on Saturday, Sept. 12.
The Rams travelled to Philadelphia to play FBS opponent Temple in Week 1. The game started out as competitive before the Owls pulled away in the second half to give Rhode Island their first loss of the season.
Elon, on the other hand, is on a hot streak to start the year. Through two weeks, the Phoenix have outscored their opponents 80-7, and are receiving votes in the top 25 rankings.

Grand Valley State (No. 8) vs. Ashland
Grand Valley State is one of the hottest teams in the nation. The Lakers have outscored their opponents by 70(!) points through two games and have climbed their way up the top 25 rankings. Quarterback Andrew Schuster has been arguably the best
Ashland lost their season debut to a solid Indiana (PA.) team, but the Eagles are still a top 20 caliber team and looking to rebound.
It’s a top 25 matchup live on FloCollege at 7 p.m. ET. Find out if the Lakers assert themselves as a top 5 team in the country, or if Ashland can get their season pointed in the right direction.
Johns Hopkins (No. 3) vs. Randolph-Macon
Johns Hopkins and Randolph-Macon brings one of the premier Division 3 football matchups of the week live on FloCollege.
The Blue Jays entered the 2026 season with expectations of competing for a national championship, and they got off to a positive start with a 30-21 win over Ithaca. Randolph-Macon entered the season ranked No. 25, but a loss to Dickinson leaves them with an 0-1 start.
Despite the loss, it’s still a matchup between two high quality D3 teams with high expectations for their season. Watch Johns Hopkins vs. Randolph-Macon at 1 p.m. ET on FloCollege.
Lenoir-Rhyne vs. Newberry (No. 11)
The Bears got off to a blazing start in Week 0 when they demolished the then-ranked Virginia Union 45-3. They came back down to Earth after losing a competitive game to West Alabama, and the Bears now have an opportunity to make another statement.
However, it won’t be easy. Newberry is one of the top teams in D2, and coming off a 38-3 thumping of Reinhardt. It’s just one game, but the Wolves looked seriously impressive.
Which one of these teams will make a defining statement for the rest of their season? Can Newberry solidify their status as one of the top teams in the country or will Lenoir-Rhyne get back in D2 voters good graces?
Watch the matchup live on Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. ET live on FloCollege to find out.
