Kutztown vs Assumption
College football fans have a rematch from the 2026 Division 2 playoffs on Thursday, Sept. 3. Kutztown will travel to face Assumption in both team’s season opener.
The Golden Bears, led by fifth-year starting quarterback Judd Novak are poised for another dominant season, but the Greyhounds and head coach Andy McKenzie have built a steady program with a talented roster looking to get revenge from a 56-19 playoff loss.

Chapman vs Hardin-Simmons
It’s the first week of Division 3 football, and Hardin-Simmons is the first ranked D3 football team to take the field in the 2026-2027 season.
It’s a week 1 rematch from last season, when a big second half from Hardin-Simmons gave them a 37-30 win on the road. Both teams found their way into the playoffs but lost early on.

Indiana PA. vs Ashland
It’s FloCollege’s week 1 Game Of The Week! Indiana (Pa.) and Ashland will meet in a battle of two programs picked to near the top of their conference standings.
Ashland makes their season debut ranked No. 13 in the country, but they’ll have to beat a talented Crimson Hawks team to keep their ranking.

Lindenwood vs. Stony Brook
Stony Brook came into 2026 expected to be one of the top teams in the CAA, but an upset loss to Delaware State in week 0 has set the Seawolves back.
Stony Brook is still a four-point favorite over Lindenwood in week 1, who is coming off a 20-17 win over Charleston Southern.

Reinhardt vs. Newberry
The No. 14 Division 2 football team in the country makes their season debut at home against a Reinardt team coming off a 52-24 loss to Lindsey Wilson.
The real question for this game: How will the Wolves look in 2026 coming off a semifinal appearance? Newberry shocked fans when they made the semifinals after winning just seven combined games over the previous two seasons.
