For the better part of 30 years, SEC baseball has been the gold standard of college baseball conferences.

Since 1990, seven different SEC teams have won College World Series titles, and three have won multiples.

LSU won the national championship in 2025, adding their eighth title all-time, it was also their second CWS win in three years. In spite of that title, LSU wasn't the regular season champion (Texas), nor the SEC tournament champion (Vanderbilt), which demonstrates the kind of parity the Southeastern Conference provides.

With another NCAA baseball season comes renewed hope for every SEC program, with 11 appearing in the D1 Baseball Top 25, including Texas, LSU, and Mississippi State appearing at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.

Miss State made the move of the offseason, prying Brian O'Connor from Virginia after 20+ years of success, including 14 NCAA Tournament appearances, seven CWS appearances and the 2015 national championship.

Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Auburn, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Texas A&M will all appear throughout the three weekends of the College Baseball Series

Here's everything to know about SEC baseball ahead of the 2026 season.
