The quarterfinal round of the NCAA D1 FCS bracket is complete! As the bracket is cut in half once agagin, here is a recap of all of the action!

The 2025 D1 FCS quarterfinal round is concluded on Dec. 13. As the field is narrowed from eight to four, here is a recap of all of the action!

The action started on Dec. 12 as Montana State defeated Stephen F. Austin, 44-28. 

As action continued on Dec. 13, the chaos started early as Villanova upset Tarleton State, 26-21. Montana bested South Dakota, 52-22. 

Finally the day ended with Illinois State beating UC Davis, 42-31. 

As teams will get ready to battle on Dec. 20 in the semi-finals, ti will be Villanova vs. Illinois State and Montana State vs.Montana!

As the final seconds tick down, Illinois State will pick up a win over UC Davis, 42-31.

Montana Tops South Dakota | Still Close For UC Davis

In the final two games of the D1 FCS playoffs, Montana tops South Dakota with a final score of, 52-22. 

It still is a tight battle for Illinois State and UC Davis! With 8:56 left in the third, Illinois State still leads UC Davis, 28-17. 

South Dakota Tries To Close Gap!

With just 6:30 left to go in regulation, South Dakota is trying to close the scoring gap on Montana. Montana still leads, 38-22.  

High Scoring First Quarter For The Final Game Of The Day!

In the final D1 FCS Quarterfinal game of the day, it is a high scoring game as Illinois St leads UC Davis, 21-17 with just 1:44 left to go in the opening quarter. 

Montana still leads South Dakota, 38-7.

In the third D1 FCS quarterfinal game, Montana still holds a commanding 24-6 lead over South Dakota! More action to come after halftime!

In a game that once saw Tarleton State in the drivers seat, the Villanova Wildcats are coming back strong. 

With just 1:11 left to play in the opening half, the Wildcats piece together some offense to make this a two-point game!

The Texans take an early 14-0 lead over Villanova in the quarterfinal round of the NCAA D1 playoffs! The Wildcats are hoping to piece an offensive drive together soon!
