After week five of the FCS college football season, both rankings polls agree on the top six teams after a swap between Montana and Montana State in the Stats Perform FCS rankings this week: North Dakota State, South Dakota State, Tarleton State, Montana, Montana State, and Illinois State.

Montana's decisive win over Big Sky rival and top-ranked Idaho Vandals in the Little Brown Stein was enough to give the Grizzlies the edge over Montana State this week for the Stats Perform voters.

CAA teams continued to rise this week with Rhode Island, Monmouth, and Villanova now solidly in the top 25 and two more receiving votes.

Villanova's rallying win over William & Mary could energize the Wildcats heading into a very competitive conference match-up in New Hampshire.
