Week 2 of NCAA D2 football kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 13 and a Top 25 matchup is on the horizon. 

Based on the rankings by FloCollege, No.14-ranked Charleston (WV) will take on No.13-ranked West Alabama at Terry Bunn Field at Tiger Stadium in Livingston, AL. With kickoff scheduled for 2:00 p.m. ET, this will surely be a matchup to watch for in Week 2.

Charleston (WV) heads into the Week 2 matchup 1-1 on the season after opening the season with a win over Livingstone College, 39-10, and then came up just short against California University of Pennsylvania, 23-19. The Golden Eagles are averaging roughly 480 yards of offense per game in the 2025 season.

West Alabama will open its home schedule by hosting the Golden Eagles. The Tigers are 2-0 on the season after commanding wins over Fort Valley State, 27-17, and Chowan University, 38-28. West Alabama is currently averaging 356 yards per game on the season.
