Division I football continues this week as the New Haven Chargers take on the UAlbany Great Danes. The FCS matchup sees both teams searching for their first win of the 2025 season.

New Haven is set to embark on the third road trip since the season began on Aug. 29. The Chargers enter the contest on Sept. 13,  0-2 during their first season at the Division I level. With losses to Marist University, 31-14, and Mercyhurst University, 48-14, the Chargers are hoping to pick up a win in a still early 2025 campaign. 

The Great Danes are set to open their home schedule by hosting the Chargers. UAlbany will enter its first home contest with an 0-2 record after losses to Iowa, 34-7, and Delaware State, 37-32. With what is scheduled to be the “Black Out” game at Bob Ford Field at Tom & Mary Casey Stadium, the Great Danes are hoping for home crowd energy to help spark momentum.
