The Colorado School of Mines will face off against West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas at 8 p.m. ET on Sept.  Mines has a two-game win streak against West Texas, with their most recent game ending in a score of 41-13. 

However, with a new season comes a new coach for Mines. To their advantage or disadvantage, only time will tell.

West Texas A&M’s first game of the season ended in a 28-45 loss against Western Colorado. For Mines, the upcoming game against West Texas will commence Bob Stitt’s second tenure with the program.

Stitt began his time at Mines in 2000, and he left after the 2014 season to coach for Montana. During his first time at Mines, the Orediggers saw a 17 season winning streak after a two decade dry spell. If Stitt still has the golden touch, the Colorado School of Mines season opener will be electric.
