The college football season is finally on the horizon, and with that comes plenty of opportunity for new names to rise and old champions to fall. The highly anticipated 2025 season officially kicked off on Saturday, Aug. 23, and athletes and fans alike are now in for a grueling four months of competition.

Preseason polls have already dictated what to expect from the FCS this year, and FloSports itself has decided that North Dakota State is primed to take over the top spot once again after a near-flawless 2024 season.  

For Division II football, Ferris State has seemingly also been a no-brainer as the reigning NCAA DII champions and top contender in the preseason Power 10 rankings, seeing as the Bulldogs have been consistently found in the Playoffs over the years.

Division III competition is set to be led by North Central, which went undefeated in 2024 and won the D3Football.com preseason vote by a landslide. 

But anything can happen in college football, and that's why the FloCollege staff is here to give their predictions on who will become the next national champions for Division II and Division III.
