In 2025, Hampden-Sydney Football is looking to use its now-veteran roster to win games in the ODAC and improve on its 5-5 record from 2024. After several key players were first-year starters, they now have a year of experience and can use that to their advantage.

Quarterback Carter Sido is set to have a big senior season after throwing for 1,842 yards and 22 touchdowns as well as running for 202 yards and two more touchdowns. A young offense all around, running back Terry Hicks is also going into his junior season, and as a sophomore ran for 855 yards and nine touchdowns. 

Fain Barton, the second running back, is going into his sophomore year and ran for 205 yards and two touchdowns. At receiver, Ethan Dowdy caught a team-high 54 passes for 723 yards and nine touchdowns. Manning Lasso, a redshirt sophomore, caught 40 passes for 517 yards and seven touchdowns. Hicks also caught 18 passes for 162 yards out of the backfield. 

While the offense may be young, the defense is not, and is returning several veterans with years of experience. Linebacker Robert Clarke is going into his senior season, looking for another big year after his 64 tackle junior year. He also had 4.5 tackles for loss and one sack in eight games. Frank Brewer brings a young spark to the linebacker position and as a freshman had 53 tackles including two tackles for loss and one sack. 

In the secondary, Markevus Graves-Franklin leads the way for veterans and as a junior had 52 tackles including 2.5 tackles for loss and one interception in five games. Alongside him is sophomore corner Parks Cromwell, who had two interceptions to go along with his 48 tackles. 

Head coach Vince Luvara is going into his second year as head coach and is looking for success, especially after establishing his systems as a first-year head coach. Not only does he have experience in the ODAC after his first year, but he has the majority of his roster and key players returning.
