Randolph Macon Football 2025 Schedule, Preview And More

Looking to follow up on their ODAC winning, 10-2 season in 2025, Randolph Macon football has an expectation of excellence. The Yellow Jackets are hungry for more after losing in the third round of the 2024 NCAA DIII Playoffs, and enter the 2025 season ranked at No. 21 in the D3football.com preseason poll.

2024 was the Yellow Jackets’ third consecutive 10-win season, and they reached the round of 16 in the playoffs each year of the streak. In 2025, quarterback Dante Casciola is returning for his fifth and final year, looking to lead Randolph Macon to a national championship in 2025.

As a senior, he threw for 1,628 yards and 11 touchdowns, while only throwing three interceptions. He also ran for 450 yards and 10 touchdowns. Not only is Casciola returning to lead the offense, but several of his top returning weapons are returning as well.

Running back Mitchell Johsnon is returning for his senior year, looking to follow up on his 471 yard and 10 touchdown season. Fellow senior running back DJ James is also looking to have a big season, as he rushed for 311 yards and punched in four touchdowns.

At wide receiver, Jason Moore, who led the team with 36 catches for 560 yards and six touchdowns is set to have another big season as a senior, and alongside him is Basit Qadri, who had 21 catches for 261 yards. Qadri is looking to have a breakout season as a consistent target for Casicola.

With a strong group of veterans returning to lead the offense, the lineup is matched on defense, with several veterans coming back. Linebacker Daniel Eliasek is returning for his fifth year, looking to lead the defense again, following up on his 80 tackle, three interceptions season. Behind him, Quentin Mankin will lead the veterans at safety and he had two interceptions and 35 tackles.

Going into his 22nd season as head coach, Pedro Arruza expects excellence from his teams, and his record has reflected that. Since 2016, he’s held an 82-15 overall record and has won nine games for six straight seasons.

Now, the Yellow Jackets are looking to have their third straight 10 win season, here’s what to know.
