After winning just one game in 2024, Post football is looking to add to the win column in 2025. A young program, Post is in only its fourth season of playing football at the varsity level, and is still on the hunt for its first winning season.

With the first class of signees now going into their senior year, could this be the year Post wins more than one game?

Quarterback Malakai Taylor threw for 1,655 yards and 15 touchdowns his junior year and is looking to have an even bigger season in 2025, his senior season. 

His top receiver, Josh Tracey had 882 yards and 11 touchdowns his junior season, leading the team. Jermaine Tillery had 465 yards and four touchdowns, making for a trio of seniors to lead the offense. 

A young defense, the top two tacklers are returning, with Michael Gabettie leading the defense with 136 tackles and 6.5 tackles for loss and one sack. He also forced two fumbles. In the secondary, Myles Snead led the way at safety, recording 79 tackles and one interception.

Jalen Russell led the team in interceptions with three and had 45 tackles alongside Snead at defensive back. 

Adam Schultz is going into his fifth year as Post’s head coach, and has been the only coach to lead the Eagles. He has a long history of coaching and though Post is his first head coaching job, he has been a part of winning programs and knows what it takes to win.

When Do The 2025 NCAA Division II College Football Playoffs Start?

The first round of the 2025 NCAA Division II Playoffs will be Nov. 22.

The 2025 Division II Football Championship title game will be played Dec. 20, 2025, at McKinney ISD Stadium in McKinney, Texas.
