Emory & Henry is coming off its best year since 1998, so expectations are high for the Wasps and head coach Quintin Hunter. Here’s their 2025 schedule.

The Emory & Henry football team is coming off its best season since 1998, so expectations are high for the Wasps and second-year head coach Quintin Hunter. 

Hunter began the 2024 campaign with an interim tag at the front of his job title, but an 8-2 start earned him a promotion before the season concluded. 

The Wasps finished the year 9-2 overall and 6-2 in the South Atlantic Conference, which was good for a second-place finish in the Mountain Division. 

Emory & Henry received attention beyond the SAC, too, as the team received votes for the first time in the AFCA Division II Coaches Poll and was mentioned in the first NCAA Division II Super Region II Rankings of the year.

The nine victories were the most for Emory & Henry since a 10-0 record and Old Dominion Athletic Conference championship in 1998. 

Hunter and his team can’t sneak under the radar this year, and they’ve already been tabbed to finish fourth in the realigned SAC this season via the 2025 SAC Preseason Football Coaches’ Poll. 

The Wasps’ 2025 season will begin on the road Aug. 30 against Glenville State, and conference play will start immediately after, with Catawba coming to town Sept. 6.
