Coming off the high of a 9-2 overall record in 2023, the Salve Regina Seahawks hoped to continue their success under starting quarterback Jake Stack in 2024. However, fate had different plans, as Stack did not appear for the Seahawks halfway through the season, leaving the team with a 6-4 record and third in the conference.

Stack went from throwing nearly 2,500 passing yards to around 900 from 2023 to 2024, but still impressed within the five games he was able to play last season. In his wake, wide receiver Anthony Bellizzi took over and threw for 642 yards and three touchdowns through just three games. 

It's unknown who will come into the starting position, seeing as Stack was a senior, but the Seahawks have a few options with rising junior Padraig Brown and rising senior Thomas Fallon. No updated 2025 roster has been posted yet, so it's unclear who will be returning for Salve Regina. 

The team has yet to have a losing season in the last five seasons under 12-year head coach Kevin Gilmartin, and doesn’t look to drop one anytime soon under his guidance.
