Juniata Football Schedule 2025: Dates, Times And More

The Juniata football team is looking for its first winning season in more than a decade. Is this the year? Here's a look at the Eagles' 2025 schedule.

The last time the Juniata football team had a winning record was 2013 (7-4), the same year the Eagles celebrated the 40th anniversary of the program’s crowning achievement – a runner-up finish in the NCAA Division III Football National Championship.

Though things in 1973 didn’t end in favor of the Eagles, who lost to Wittenberg 41-0, the matchup was extra special because it was the first year the Division III teams had their own championship.

Now, more than a half-century later, it’s time for third-year head coach Blake Treadwell and his team to channel the Eagles of yesteryear and get back to their winning ways.

During Treadwell’s time at the helm, which coincides with the debut of the Landmark Conference in 2023, the Eagles are 3-17, but they’ve improved each year since going 0-10 in 2022.

Under Treadwell, Juniata was 1-9 in 2023 (0-6 in Landmark play) and then 2-8 (1-5) in 2024, finishing seventh and sixth, respectively in the Landmark standings.

The progress has been positive so far, and it’s time to keep the forward momentum going.

The Eagles’ 2025 campaign will begin on the road Sept. 5 when they travel to face Gettysburg. Their first Landmark matchup will come at home Oct. 4 against newcomer Western Connecticut State.

When Do The 2025 NCAA Division III College Football Playoffs Start?

The first round of the 2025 NCAA Division III Playoffs will be Nov. 22.

The 2025 Division III Football Championship title game will be played Jan. 10, 2026, at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio.
