The Springfield Pride will be entering the 2025 season riding on the high of its fourth consecutive NEWMAC Championship title and first undefeated regular season since 2017. The Pride looked primed to become the NCAA Division III National Champions, but was stopped in its tracks during the quarterfinal match against North Central when it posted its worst score of the season in a 3-27 loss.

Unlike most college football teams, Springfield didn't rely on its quarterbacks or receivers, but rather the sheer amount of power in its run game last season. Graduate student Arsen Shtefan and senior Blane Hart dominated on foot, as Shtefan ran for over 1,700 yards and made 21 touchdowns, and Hart collected 830 yards and 17 touchdowns. They stood as two out of five athletes who ran for over 500 yards each.

The Pride will be losing some key players, although the program has not released its 2025 roster yet. Shtefan can be expected not to make a return after five years with Springfield. Hart could possibly come back for a fifth year alongside fellow senior running backs Dante Vasquez, Sean Brown, and quarterback Jacob Silvester, who contributed 527 yards on the ground. 

Springfield has never looked better under head coach Mike Cerasuolo, who looks to hit a decade milestone with the Pride during the 2025-2026 season.
